Four Teens on Everest: Teen Romance
and Angst on Mount Everest

In a teen romance, two boys and two girls embark on a treacherous journey to reach the Everest summit to earn a million-dollar donation to a children's cancer hospital. Blizzards, avalanches, altitude sickness, crevasses, and frostbite threaten them every step of the way. Jaya's father warns her against the distraction of a teen romance when she falls for their young Sherpa guide. A Brazilian girl from a rival team initiates a teen romance with Logan as a means of sabotaging the climb. Tension grows between Logan and Galen in multiple twists and turns over shared dark secrets and lies. Jaya's teen romance sparks jealousy within the group, especially Amy who desires her own teen romance with Galen. Confronting their inner fears, doubts, and family issues, each is forced to make a life-altering decision. Does Jaya's cross-cultural teen romance stand a chance? Will all four reach the summit and return alive?
Teens face multiple, life-threatening hazards on Everest.

The icefall strewn with crevasses and seracs is the most deadly part of the climb.

Thundering avalanches occur daily.

Crossing deep crevasses with crampons on aluminum ladders is extremely dangerous.

Jordan Romero Linda did an awesome job writing about my adventures and has scored again with an intense story about four teens climbing Everest the same time I did. Their conflict, jealousies, and teen romances are something all of us can relate to. Jordan Romero, youngest to climb Everest at age 13.
Reading this took me right back onto the mountain. The descriptions are strikingly vivid and the impressive climbing details are accurate every step of the way. Gene Rehfeld. Three times on Everest, summiting twice.
A reader review. While four heavily bundled teens work together to survive the daunting cold and ultimate high of climbing Mt. Everest, they spring from the pages as individuals, each with his or her own personal OMG fences to climb--life, love, family, self, fear, values, and being alone together. J. A. Turley, Author of The Simple Truth: BP's Macondo Blowout
A reader review I've read two other books about Everest and Sherpas by Linda LeBlanc. Beyond the Summit and No Summit Out of Sight. Her knowledge is evident in details of the Sherpa culture and every step up the mountain. All four teens face the greatest challenge in their attempt to reach the roof of the world in freezing, thin air. They also struggle within themselves, their parents, each other, and a rival team from Brazil. Secrets, lies, jealousies, and teen romance unfold in a thrilling tale that will make you grateful you're home safe and warm.
A reader review Four Teens Challenge Everest is a great fictional read even for adults. LeBlanc knows the Everest region intimately and it shows in her detailed descriptions of the mountain and climbing. I felt the bone-chilling cold, difficulty breathing at high altitude, and the terror of going through the Icefall where 16 Sherpas recently lost their lives. Avalanches, crevasses, and enormous blocks of ice constantly threaten two boys and girls ages 16 and 17 as they try for the summit. The pace moves quickly as they experience a whole new world and culture, exciting adventures, conflict within themselves and with each other, parent issues, long-held secrets, and multiple teen romances.
